Service Description
This two-day intensive beginner workshop offers a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to traditional drystone walling techniques. Participants will learn how to select and prepare stone, set foundations, build to line and batter, and understand the structural principles behind a well-built wall. Working in small groups, you’ll gain practical experience building a section of wall from the ground up using traditional methods and tools. The extended two-day format allows for deeper skill development, including corners, ends, and structural detailing, giving you a more complete understanding of wall construction. The course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to refresh or develop their skills further. All tools and materials are provided. Please wear suitable outdoor work clothing and sturdy footwear. Deposit payments: A £100 non-refundable deposit secures your place on the workshop. The remaining balance will be invoiced approximately 6 weeks before the workshop date and must be paid in full no later than 4 weeks before the workshop. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in your place being lost and deposit forfeited.
