Service Description
Spend a full day learning the fundamentals of traditional drystone walling in a private one-to-one setting at our Forest of Dean workshop. This hands-on session is tailored entirely to your experience level — whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine existing skills. You’ll work on a live training wall, learning core techniques such as stone selection, laying, battering, hearting, and building structurally sound walling from the ground up. All tools and materials are provided, and the day is paced to suit you, allowing plenty of time for questions, technique correction, and detailed guidance throughout. Ideal for homeowners, hobbyists, and anyone looking to gain practical heritage craft skills in a focused environment.
Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received in full. You may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided the workshop date is more than 14 days away. After this period, cancellations are subject to approval and may incur a £25 administration fee. Refunds or transfers are not guaranteed. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another participant at no additional cost with prior written notice. Date transfer requests are subject to availability and approval. Workshops take place in a working rural environment with uneven ground and basic facilities. Participants must be physically capable of undertaking practical outdoor stonework and wear suitable clothing and footwear.
